There isn't an active Ethel Gathering Group in Alaska just yet – but we're always growing. Ethel Gathering Groups are private Facebook communities for older women to create opportunities to connect in real life, whether that's brunch, a group walk, or gathering around a shared interest. Led by local hosts, these groups help turn online connections into lasting friendships. Visit our Gathering Group FAQ at the bottom of our main Gathering Groups hub page to learn more about how groups get started and how you can be part of one in the future.

Ready to be inspired? Subscribe to The Ethel newsletter — delivered straight to your inbox every other Wednesday. You’ll get stories that celebrate aging boldly, tackle real-life challenges, and connect you with a vibrant community of women just like you. Don’t forget to join The Ethel community on Facebook, where conversations are candid, supportive, and full of wisdom — because aging is better when we do it together. Created by women, for women, our voice is uplifting, inclusive, conversational — and yes, sometimes brutally honest. We’re here to tell it like it is, while lifting each other up. Have questions, ideas, or media inquiries? We’d love to hear from you. Email us anytime at aarpethel@aarp.org.
