Brahna Yassky is a painter and a writer. Her art has been exhibited extensively at various places including MOMA, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Hudson River Museum and the Bali Purnati Center. Her memoir After the Fire won honorable mention for the 2018 Doheny Prize from the Center for Fiction. She's had essays published in the American Writers Review 2020, The Girlfriend, The Ethel and other publications. She lives in Brooklyn and East Hampton. Her memoir Slow Dancing With Fire is forthcoming.
